Time changes the landscape slowly. Mountains and valleys take shape over millennia. Seasons transform the colors of the world around us. Yet light is fleeting, changing from moment to moment, never quite the same twice.
It is within these brief intersections of time, color, and light that I find my inspiration.
My photography is less about documenting a place than capturing how a place feels in a particular moment. The quiet mystery of a landscape emerging from morning fog. The warmth of autumn color beneath a subdued sky. The illumination of a shoreline, or the last light settling upon a distant hillside.
I am drawn to atmosphere, to stillness, and to the quiet beauty that often goes unnoticed. I study the landscape, anticipate the light, and wait for that fleeting moment when the two become something extraordinary. I seek images that invite the viewer to linger, to look beyond the landscape itself, and perhaps experience something of the wonder I felt standing there.
For me, photography is both a pursuit and a preservation of the ephemeral. An effort to hold, if only in an image, something that nature allows us to witness for just an instant.
